Harvest Festival

This year is Toccoa Falls College's second annual Harvest Festival and will be led by the Residence Life (ResLife) staff. Last year, the Harvest Festival was one of the biggest events on campus, and, this year, it will be even bigger! The festival will take place on October 28th, 2017 on the Intramural field from 7 pm until 9 pm. Not only will there be fan favorites from last year, such as the costume contest and hayride, but also new additions including live music, local vendors, and horses!

Live music will be performed by some of TFC’s own and will be played in two 20-minute intervals before the costume contest begins.

The local vendors that are going to be present at the event are: That’s A Great Deal, Oscar Mikes, Jerky and More, and GameSwitch. The businesses will provide giveaways, free samples, raffles and more! Be sure to stop by not only for the treats, but to also to find out more about each business!

Last but not least, the horses. They are being provided by a local Christian organization and will be giving attenders the opportunity to interact the animals!

The costume contest will take place around 8 pm and each contestant will have the opportunity to walk the runway to model their costumes. Last year’s costume c

ontest winner, who has since graduated, was Mitchell Thompson. He did a fantastic job dressing up at the Mad Hatter! The winner of this year’s costume contest will receive a $20 gift card of their choice! Last year, over 30 students entered the contest and this year, Reslife is hoping for more. Everyone is encouraged to dress up!

Not only will there be fun and food, but also the opportunity to make connections within the Toccoa community. The Harvest Festival is a must-do on campus! If there are any questions concerning the Harvest Festival, you can contact Thomas Floyd, the RD of the terraces at tfloyd@tfc.edu.
