Let's Binge Watch

With the end of the school year coming, it is almost time for summer break. For many students though, the biggest part of summer is de-stressing, relaxing, and binge watching their favorite shows. The problem arrives however when viewers cannot decide what series to binge watch next. To help with that, here is a list of the top ten show you should binge this summer.

 

When Calls the Heart - Romantic Drama

Based on Janette Oak’s best-selling book series, When Calls the Heart is a romance series about a Canadian woman who journey’s west in the early 1900’s. Full of action, drama, and romance, this series comes recommended and can be streamed on Netflix.

 

Stranger Things - Sci-Fi

One of Netflix’s most popular shows, Stranger Things is definitely strange. Classified as Sci-Fi, it is also a mysterious, suspenseful thriller. Definitely recommended, Stranger Things will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. Beginning with the disappearance of a young boy, Stranger Things is based on a group of families in a small, peculiar town, where things are quite interesting.

 

The Flash - Action/Drama

When a man is struck by lightning, he wakes up with lightning speed, and decides to become the Flash. The show is about his life as a new superhero, and his various trials and adventures with that. You can watch The Flash on Netflix, and it is recommended that you do.

 

Nailed It - Baking Competition

Netflix’s Nailed It is a hilarious twist on baking shows and competitions. The goal being to create an edible version of a masterpiece, the competition is both funny and intense. The show features some amazing talents and is a recommended watch for the whole family.

 

A Series of Unfortunate Events - Action

Originally a book series by Lemony Snicket, A Series of Unfortunate Events is about a group of orphaned siblings who have to move in with an evil count. With stories that will have you glued to your screen, the show is sure to keep you entertained. A Series of Unfortunate Events is somewhere between a thriller, action, and drama series, and something you should definitely check out on Netflix.

 

Hawaii Five-0 - Crime

A crime show set in Hawaii? It already sounds good; yet, Hawaii Five-0 is even better then it sounds. A bit of a classic, CBS rebooted the show to give viewers a more modern take. Viewers get a good insight into the lives of an elite task force, known as the Five-0 unit. While intense, the show is full of humor, and it is highly recommended that you stream it on Netflix, or CBS All Access.

 

Chicago Med - Medical Drama

If you like medical dramas (or even if you don’t) Chicago Med is the show is for you. While a Medical Drama, Chicago Med features bits of many different genres, romance, and crime just being a few. This is a great show, with great characters and plotlines. Part of NBC’s amazing “Chicago One” franchise, Chicago Med is a viewer favorite, and something that is highly recommended. It can be streamed on Hulu.

 

Doctor Who - Action

A popular classic, BBC’s Doctor Who is definitely something you should watch on Amazon Prime. A time traveler with the ability to change appearance, “the Doctor” and his sidekick travel throughout time, giving viewers a unique insight into history, and the various time periods, cultures, and historical people of the world.

 

Fixer Upper - Home and Lifestyle

Fixer Upper is a HGTV show about a couple from Waco, Texas. Chip and Joanna Gaines do home design, even owning Magnolia Market, a home décor store. The show follows the Gaines as they remodel, expand, and redecorate homes. All about family and Faith, the Gaines do amazing work on houses, making it look easy. While new Fixer Upper episodes are not airing anymore, it is a good show that can be enjoyed by everybody. With streaming available on Hulu, Fixer Upper is absolutely recommended.

 

Blue Bloods - Crime

A crime show based on the NYPD, Blue Bloods is about the New York City police commissioner and his family. While it is a definitely a crime show, Blue Bloods is well diversified genre wise with something for everybody. There is a big emphasis on family and faith at weekly dinners, plenty of drama, and in later episodes, there is even romance between the commissioner’s youngest son and his police partner. It is definitely a show worth watching, being Friday nights top watched show, and the top recommended one on this list. You can be stream it on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and CBS All Access.
